Many of you have to adhere to the values and proposals of the Citizens List and express at the polls. We thank you for that trust.
The results of the first round is a success for us all. In fact, 12.3% is a high score in an election with six lists, for a team that does not represent any political party dominant, which not rely on the outgoing Councillors, who prefers to rely on representatives of citizens rather as community leaders.
We asked about appropriate conduct in the second round, to weigh as much as possible in the future city council to implement the proposals you have voted. Given the voting system, the alliance with another list was mathematically appealing option. It was however possible on three conditions: that the list ally shared the same values as us, that there exist no differences by agreement, and that major proposals on which we based our difference (participatory democracy, social and environment) are clearly included in the joint. One
list seemed a priori likely to meet these criteria and interested in the possibility of an alliance. We have therefore presented him our wishes concerning such criteria as the modalities for setting up a joint list and collaboration in the future council. After deliberation, the list has informed us that she was finally opposed the idea of a merger with Citizens List.
Therefore, true to our beliefs, emphasizing the defense of our values rather than personal interests, and respectful of the voters who expressed their join our project, we decided to represent us, and represent you in the second round with the same team, the same program and the same name.
To all those who supported us in the first round, and those who wish to join us in the second, we ask not to fall into the trap of tactical voting and choosing a mayor. It is indeed to develop, through the vote, the composition of the future city council, in which it is important that all people are its representatives. "
