Father Christmas and Truckers in Paris
A Christmas story of Serge Bergeron, route planner at CAT. Read and edited by Sandra Doyon.
Serge made me read his story several years ago when he still planned my route with my Kenworth Fuego red. I was very touched by his text, sensitive to the lives of truckers. This year, I did read and agreed for me to publish, but I had not told him that I would make a podcasting!
is a gift for you Serge, and a gift for you all!
Merry Christmas!

Off Work With Kidney Infection
I always take voice notes while driving. That's how I write for a long time. I see, I think and I record my thoughts on my digital magneto. But often it takes me too long to transcribe the notes and they are lost in time and in the context when I arrived. For this reason, I do an experiment with Twitter . Whenever I have a minute to stop a truck over my way - because rest assured, I never text while driving I transcribe you via my cell phone directly to my Twitter account.
Twitter requires us to be concise, since it is necessary to express his idea in 140 characters or less. I'm cheating a little because I often make two sentences to the same subject. It is my birth or the discovery of a new mode of writing. A writing that is also used to entertain the 400 people who follow me via this network, often workers glued to their computer screens for days. For me, it's easy and fun: like my environment is constantly changing, I think of short phrases to describe it. Like little haikus. It allows me to create, write, make you dream, to transport you elsewhere. Writing flash cell is of course imperfect and full of errors of the first draft, but it is real and poses a roller to find his literary path. The note is frozen in time and in chronological order. Precious stones.
Here they are, my little pebbles corrected again and put in order from top to bottom (since the most recent Twitter is always first.) Also, please note that on Twitter, the topic is still a truck driver ... so, sentences often begin Conjugate a verb in 3rd person singular, I have ... beginning of a sentence when it does.

Discover the time line of business
I discovered this line of web time to make a record of all publications (photos, movies, blogs, links and more.)
I put at the bottom of this page permanently, it can be found in time. I found this application via this blog:

En route, they stop to do karaoke in the cities and visit people. Tonight, they arrive in Montreal. They are Americans. Tara comes to settle in Montreal. I look forward to his stories.

When Does The Tahoe Change Body Styles
Dessert travel
It was 14hrs, Elise had just woken up, me, I arrived at their destination, where I was going to change the trailer to return to Quebec after 700 km driving since my awakening. She screamed a big - "woooohaaaa! . It startled me, I thought she had seen a bear, I wanted to see too! From the top of our truck, we saw all the blue tillers. I let Elise in peat in pajamas in blueberries while I went to the exchange of trailers the customer. When I returned, she had already filled two bowls.
You know I'm born Lac-Saint-Jean ? Where are the best blueberries in the world it seems. The Jeannois are so proud of their blueberries they were also nicknamed "Blueberry", it therefore makes me a proud "Blueberries." So when I knelt near wild shots, that's all right in my childhood that I'm diving. In August, Dad took us deep into the forest, my sister and me, my brothers were still too small. And for days, were harvested blueberries to have the family. We were often out of sight of each other, but it was enough that one of us exclaimed, "woooohhaaaaa! And we were reassured to know there close, to be amazed by the large blueberries. And I cried: - "Veneeeeeez voiiiirrrrr! "So that Dad and my little sister came running to see clusters of blueberries as big as grapes before they are put in our baskets. We were just happy to see them, but we were especially pleased to report our stories and baskets filled with mom and little brothers. The night when I slept, I saw blueberry in my dreams Dad had this laugh when I told him. I still see when I close my eyes. What we ate! As much as I believe the bears! To become all blue legs.
And then today, it's still like that, I bring you pictures and I tell you - "wooohaaaa! Regardeeeez! "Same as when I was 8 years old! It is the purpose of this blog.
A little happiness for the day was the final step of our 13,200 km of the last nine days. The dessert of the trip. And I give you a big hand in words and pictures!

I repeat here my series of portraits of bloggers / blogger series began in 2007 and I will combine business with pleasure .. Because I focused my attention on Sandra Doyon, a seasoned blogger with his Diary of a truck driver but you'll understand that a nomadic . It was during the Yulbiz of 30 June or rather "the after-Yulbiz" the light bulb went on. I was sitting in front of the restaurant Sandra Red Thai, Boulevard St-Laurent. We began by taking each picture (below) and then put us to discuss the blog and life ... waiting to be served.
clicks because I say it's been several times that I met Sandra, as well as Yulbiz at parties organized by a friend (s) Common (e) s. Yet every time the conversation was limited to social events. And yet, the course of Sandra, from what I knew and what I had read it, intrigued me. One does not become a truck driver and blogger, moreover without a good dose of originality. And originality, you know it attracts me ...

Pure Canadian Honey
Here's a new video shot last week in Saskatchewan. The interview I conducted with Bob the beekeeper was conducted in English. Since I do not control the captioning with I-Movie and yet me, I said in voiceover in French, so it is a bilingual video, the image of Canada. I think you can still capture the essence, even if you're not a pro in English.
I shot a few minutes with my micro camera. A "canon" that you see at the end when I pick up in the rearview mirror. Close-ups are sometimes fuzzy, but I reached the technical limits of this camera for video that has no manual focus. The sound improves as I gain experience, but I must be very close the subject to hear his voice. That's why often the head of Bob is off and I'm concentrating on the mouth from which the precious ... his fate
I go the movies and I record my voice in my bunk well muffled but the truck roll! And you hear a little road noise when I speak, it feels more real ...
It took me a good 6 hours of editing to make this film n'al'air anything like that. I hope you enjoy, you will give me the news, it feels good on the road! Especially now, when I'm doing a 12,000 km without stopping little or only a few breaks well calculated to maximize time.
Enjoy!
Warning: It is better to watch the video before reading the text that follows immediately after.
reads what I say in the film, I wrote it after the fact, that filled me with images and thoughts that I have learned. Writing for a movie, I realize it must be really concise, there is no place for long sentences and all words that I write. That is also a learning experience!
Elise and I went to gather honey in the little village of Ethelbert, northern Manitoba. This is Bob Podolski, the beekeeper himself, who directed the trailer 20 tons of large drums of honey. I asked him if he could show us his hives. It was great, a really good guide, a passionate connoisseur, I like! The following video with his hives.
In 2007, Bob has lost 30% of his bees. Last year, 70% of his bees who never returned. But why? Bob has his own idea that. A rumor that the bees are dying because it absorbs the herbicide sprayed on fields of potatoes, canola and corn. It disrupts their guidance system. She never found the way to their hive. They die lost, with the herbicide full back.
When we had finished loading, Bruce's brother Bob, a "pure canadian honey", as they say here, gave us a big jar of creamy honey each. Thank you Bruce!
When I dipped my spoon into the honey, I thought of all bee colonies decimated because it can not find their way.
me, I knew I would find me in return.
But I thought that all of us, together, had perhaps lost our way, sprayed with herbicide individualism and productivity.
we were on the road to Quebec to go and deliver our 20 tons of honey.

Lipstick Shade For Wheatish Complexion
The end of filming in California
I present a montage of our last days of filming in California.
was magical: the end of the journey, arriving at the end of the continent, the Pacific to the knees! As I may have said, otherwise you've probably felt with what I've presented, but it was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. A step, a climax.
When I did my studies in tourism ITHQ , I rubbed for three years, world travelers who have influenced the way I lead my life and this is where I became a guide to the French customers visiting Canada and the United States. A job that taught me to know our French cousins in strength to the road with them in buses and introduce them to my country. I loved above all share the dream of traveling with them. As it was a rather seasonal work, I wanted to become driver-guide to work all year, but by happy coincidence, I became a truck driver with Richard, my life partner of 16 years. Both together for nine years, we drove over 2.5 million miles, as if we had done the equivalent of 60 times around the Earth. Millions of miles to explore, to live as nomads, to accumulate experience, gain knowledge of the road. This blog has been and remains a motivation to look for nuggets in North America to introduce them to you. This is my gold rush for me, one that brings me great happiness. These intangible treasures, I own them forever and I could share some with my three traveling companions French that you probably will show in the film. With them by my side on the road, I returned to guide and besides, I did what I wanted to do before trucks being chauffeur-guide. For all these reasons, this trip was the highlight of my "career" of travel, truck driver, I could not have done this film before, it had to be at this time, with my background and life- above all with Laure and Jean-Pierre who are passionate about literature as well as Vincent, a passionate image.
Now I will try to become a writer. It will take the rest of my life. But I'm in no hurry, there will be more paths on my road and my face, plus the experience will be rich. For you and for me.
good trip, good life.
May you too, dear "blogolecteurs" live as intense moments in your lives and share them.

Simcity Patch 4 1.1.638
Telegram Northern Ontario
At a time back. Is in northern Ontario. Is 25 degrees on the asphalt of the parking lot of Best Western Dryden. The large Canadian flag whistles like a bird in a mat at the foot trucks purr. Squats a connection sitting in a hotel car park. Tomorrow morning delivery in Saskatchewan. And quickly turn back to Manitoba for a sweet return. A full cargo of honey we will wait for Quebec. Meanwhile, I gather pollen on the road.
Quick, one is in the juice if you want to be in Saskatoon before noon!
good trip!
ps.: The connection is difficult in northern Canada, not Flying J every 4 hours as the U.S.. Please wait. The program will be better!

"happiness is only real when shared"
Laure and Jean-Pierre followed the big whale of 40 t drive. Vincent was filming from his seat and I mine. Here you see my vision, which confines me to my seat for hours. You'll have to wait to see the October 2009 version of Jean-Pierre, Laura and Vincent.
I plan to give you viewing in October 2009, register you to my page on facebook you receive news directly if you are a member of facebook.
Some time ago , the film Into the Wild Sean Pean I left a great impression. He had been highly recommended by my friend Francis, a former trucker green, seeking freedom.
Here is a quote written by Christopher McCandless , who inspires me every day :
"happiness is only real when shared"
So I take you on a journey. Thanks for being there!
"We exist each other through"
I wrote this sentence following the reflection on sharing, you and others you are an inexhaustible source inspiration.

Tower at night
On the site of quebec bike and Bike Fest it is written:
"A Night Tour is a Friday night out of the ordinary! No less than 12,000 owls wheels on the street at night, pedal 20 km. Playful combination of city lights and bright eyes. "
I did it. For the second time. Last year I was with Cecile , this time with Patrick Dion, who will soon realize his dream of being published, its mega-dwarf and Genevieve. We got lost along the way but I found my friend Rina and her friend accidentally Rada. 20 km scroll to see people happy and bright. I wish you one for next year.
